Made in the Yorkshire town called Pontefract. A soft sweet rich liquorice flavour loved by millions. There is a cute stamp of Pontefract Castle on each sweet to signify quality. The area was once very well know for its production of liquorice and has been around since the 1600’s. The Liquorice grown in the back yards.
A very traditional sweet once you start eating its hard to put them down. Just have a few sweets a day though as liquorice can have a laxative effect.
Sweet strong and tasty made in England….A must for liquorice lovers.
